We were taught to be dependable, responsible, the top of our classes in school, the most organized and efficient babysitters in town…a pair of junior Swiss Army knives, born to multitask. We had a lot of enjoyment in our family, a lot of laughter, but the walls were papered with to-do lists and I never experienced or witnessed idleness, not once in my whole entire life…This is the cause of that great sad American stereotype – the overstressed executive, who goes on vacation, but who cannot relax. I once asked Luca Spaghetti if Italians on vacation have the same problem. He laughed so hard he almost drove his motorbike into a fountain. “Oh no!” he said. “We are the masters of il bel far niente”. This is a sweet expression. Il bel far niente means “the beauty of doing nothing”. The beauty of doing nothing is the goal of all your work, the final accomplishment for which you are most highly congratulated. The more exquisitely and delightfully you can do nothing, the higher your life’s achievement.

From  early childhood the society, our family and nation shape our worldview and the way we view authority, build reationships, eat, even cheer sportsmen. They determine who becomes our hero, how we work and learn. This is how our culture is created. The aim of our training is showing how to deal with different ways of thinking, feeling and acting that take place in international organizations.
Often the source of conflict lies in the language diversity, differences in understanding leadership, cooperation, teamwork, or ways of dealing with conflict. To make cooperation possible, you need to mutually develop efficient solutions, which isn’t possible without understanding differences in ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.

During the training we will help you understand the sources and consequences of cultural differences. International team which understands their diversity can become very effective if only they manage to make use of the different experiences of the team members.
A leader of such team plays a special role. Being aware of the differences, such a leader needs to make sure the team doesn’t divide itself into “country camps”, which will diminish communication and effectiveness.
